Sweet orange, warm spice, and a nutty finish—Grandpa’s Leg has more going for it than a memorable name. Heirloom American Whiskey, Montpelier Orange Liqueur, and Liqueur of Life come together with walnut bitters for a rich, aromatic cocktail. Stir this one up at home when your usual whiskey pour could use a little variety.

Ingredients

• 1 1/2 oz Heirloom American Whiskey

• 3/4 oz Montpelier Orange Liqueur

• 3/4 oz Liqueur of Life

• 3 dashes walnut bitters

Garnish: Flamed orange coin

Glassware: Rocks glass

Instructions

1. Add the Heirloom American Whiskey, Montpelier Orange Liqueur, Liqueur of Life, and walnut bitters to a mixing glass.

2. Add ice and stir until well chilled.

3. Strain into a rocks glass over fresh ice.

4. Garnish with a flamed orange coin.
