Created by Ellie for Liqueur of Life Month, the Twisted Sister balances berry sweetness with the dry edge of Borrowed Rye and the savory spice of Alba Thistle Liqueur and Liqueur of Life. Rich and herbal, it’s a whiskey cocktail worth staying in for on a cool fall evening.

Ingredients

• 3/4 oz Borrowed Rye

• 3/4 oz Liqueur of Life

• 3/4 oz Alba Thistle Liqueur

• 3/4 oz blueberry syrup

• 1 dash Angostura aromatic bitters

Garnish: Brandied cherry and orange coin, skewered

Glassware: Martini glass

Instructions

1. Add the Borrowed Rye, Liqueur of Life, Alba Thistle Liqueur, blueberry syrup, and bitters to a mixing glass.

2. Add ice and stir until well chilled.

3. Strain into a martini glass.

4. Squeeze the orange coin over the drink to release its oils, then skewer it with a brandied cherry and add as a garnish.
